Creamy Cilantro Lime Avocado Ranch Dressing

I love creating my own salad dressing recipes.  So many of the dressings on the market do not offer clean ingredients and are packed with added sugars.  This Creamy Cilantro Lime Avocado Ranch Dressing is one that pairs great with a southwest salad or as a topping for your favorite Taco Tuesday recipes.

I created this recipe before we went more plant-based, but it is so easy to make this a dairy-free recipe and oil-free recipe for those that want vegan options.

The ingredients you will need for this recipe include:

1 Cup of a non-dairy Yogurt

I use Kite Hill Plain Unsweetened Almond Milk Yogurt. It has a great texture and flavor.

1/4 Cup of Avocado Oil (If you are looking for an oil-free options, you can skip this step)

3 Garlic Cloves, peeled

1 Cup of Cilantro, leaved

1 Lime, squeezed

1/4 Cup of Apple Cider Vinegar

1/4 Jalapeno, seeded and membrane removed

1/4 Cup White Onion

1 Avocado, peeled, and seeded

1 TSP Onion Powder

1 TSP Garlic Powder

1/4 TSP Sea Salt

Black Pepper to taste

Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until creamy and smooth.

Vitamix offers an array of blenders that are great for mixing this recipe and other recipes on our blog. They not only help make this recipe creamier, cleanup is a breeze. All you have to do is add soap and water to the Vitamix and blend on high for about a minute and rinse.

We love our Reconditioned Vitamix V1200. It is great for making smoothies, soups, and blending up dressings like this Creamy Cilantro Lime Avocado Ranch Dressing recipe.

They have an amazing warranty and is one of the most used kitchen appliances in our home.

I like to store our Creamy Cilantro Lime Avocado Ranch Dressing in a glass container, typically a Mason Jar and find that it is best served chilled.

You can add extra spices depending on your taste.  I suggest though that you write an expiration date on your jar based on the expiration date of the yogurt you chose.

This dressing goes great with some of our favorite Power Bowl Recipes you can find on the blog:
