Cashew Ranch Dressing

This Cashew Ranch Dressing is Dairy-free, Oil-Free, and Gluten-free.

Since going more plant-based our family has been looking for plant-based dressings that can replace those store-bought ones that are full of oils. 

In the past I have made ranch dressing using milk-based ingredients, so finding ingredients that are dairy-free was key in creating this recipe. 

Raw cashews are a staple in our home and have helped us create some amazing dishes, so when I set out to design a ranch dressing that would not only be dairy-free and oil-free, raw cashews became the base for this recipe.

In my opinion no matter what type of ranch dressing you are making, adding in dried dill, parsley, and chives is the key to getting that special ranch flavor. 

The only equipment you will need to complete this recipe is a food processor or blender and of course these ingredients:

  • 1 Cup of raw cashews, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 Cup of Water
  • 2 TBSP Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 TBSP Lemon Juice
  • 1 TBSP Garlic Powder
  • 1 TSP Onion Powder
  • 1 TSP Dried Chives
  • 1 TSP Dried Parsley
  • 1 TBSP Dried Dill
  • 1/2 TSP Salt
  • Pepper to taste

Begin by soaking the raw cashews in hot water for about 10 minutes until they are soft. Drain the water and rinse. Then add in the drained cashews and remaining ingredients into a food processor or blender. Blend on high until completely mixed together. Scraping down the sides as needed. You can add in additional spices or herbs until you reached desired taste.

And even better, this recipe can be made in 10 minutes or less. Make a larger batch and store it in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of raw cashews, rinsed, and drained
  • 1/2 Cup of Water

Instructions
